FOOD TRADITIONS
Project Based Learning
By: Christin Vega
Hello, my name is Christin Vega and I'm an Educational Technology graduate student at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. This is a project about food traditions where two international classrooms exchange pictures & drawings about their culture's food traditions. The participating classes are:
Mrs. Pantoja's 2nd grade class at Windsor Park Elementary in Corpus Christi, Texas and Ms. Padilla's kindergarten class at a military base in Okinawa, Japan.
About me: During my coursework, on October 8th, 2011, my 44 year old husband of 11 years and best friend of 16 years, passed away unexpectedly from a ruptured brain aneurysm. Together we have an 8 year old son, Cash, who is featured at the end of the American class presentation. This is for you, Matt Vega - I kept on truckin' because I knew that is what you'd expect from me. I love you always and forever!!!!
